The Maelstrom Of Life

Joe Sanok is a mental health counselor, business consultant, and podcaster. Joe has the #1 podcast for counselors. As well, his daily podcast, The How to Become a Consultant Podcast reveals the secrets of becoming a consultant through interviewing the world’s top consultants.

2012 was a Maelstrom Of Life for Joe,

Have you ever had a 2012?

Curveballs that had been thrown at Joe between 2011-2012:

His mom was just finishing up cancer treatment towards the end of 2011. They found out their newborn daughter needed open heart surgery in May of 2012. A couple months after that Joe found out he had thyroid cancer. Amidst all that Joe’s wife had a miscarriage. You can imagine the emotional strain that Joe, his wife, and his family had been going through at this time. It’s easy for couples to get distracted with communication between each other when so much turmoil is happening. Joe said it, “we were just hanging on” Can you relate to this story? When was the last time you had a 2012?

Joe’s story is so raw and so real and all of us can relate to it in some way. When Joe was going through these events, the last thing he wanted to hear was the word “positive”

An interesting thing happened also for him. To distract from all the madness, Joe put his attention into building his online consulting business, “Practice Of The Practice” which brings him much success now. He realized through all the work hew as doing and all the emotional struggles he had gone through during that 2011-2012 time, that he was burnt out. Now with his business he’s ableĀ to serve people locally, around the world, and create time and space for his own personal life and his family.

Tomorrow we talk more with Joe about Practice Of The Practice as well as how to achieve success in a competitive nicheĀ – stay tuned!!
